Other Artistic Explorations

**It hasn't always been bits and bones. Oils, charcoal, gouache and pencil are also favourite tools. A love of the face, a love of colour and a love of form has guided me through several distinct periods of exploration.
**"The Gift", top left, was inspired by the underlying geometric patterns contained within Islamic art. "Kamesvari", top right, is a simple Hindu design rendered in gouache on board. The two pencil sketches, left, are early works on paper.
**A fascination with the face led me to draw over a hundred portraits in charcoal of famous (or infamous) persons, such as these two, lower left. John and Yoko and Ozzy are my favourites of this ridiculously large collection.
